TRIVIA: Did you know that teddybear, pandabear, blackbear, shorthair, and greybear hamsters are all really the same breed of hamster? Otherwise known as Syrian hamsters, pet shops depict individual ones by hair length and color and prices will range differently depending on popularity. The one shown at the left is known as a shorthair or true 'golden' hamster.
